Lakewood Wal-Mart #1

from $100.00

A study of liminal spaces using electric colors. This is a Wal-Mart parking lot in a suburb of Denver. I enjoy finding magic and hope in places that outright appear sterile, empty, lonely. Because of the ‘one-brush-stroke-no-going-back’ technique this particular painting is one gem of several failed pieces. It’s painted using a 3 color palette and a hot-pink under-layer.

16Wx20H. 0.75” thick canvas with fax gold ornate frame which accentuates the moment. Painted in December 2024.
