3rd painting in the study of Portsmouth’s Commercial Alley series. Painted using a limited palette based on Van Gogh’s Cafe Terrace. This scene looks towards Penhallow street and peeks in the windows of neighboring buildings. As with all paintings in the series this is a 2” thick canvas with orange underpainting, unframed, painted edges and filled with texture and detail in a 30×40 making a large bright presence which glows in the dark.
